Normally you will be met at the airport and accompanied to Dubna. If no, for some reason, we could advise you the following. (1) Change some money right at the airport. Exchange rate is quite good there, about 100 USD will be enough (note, that US dollars can be exchanged in Russia much easier and better than other currency). Afterwards, pay rubles everywhere. Economically it will be much more favorable. (2) Take a bus to Moscow to the Metro station "Rechnoi vokzal". It seems, it is a No.539 bus, there are also express-airbuses. The ticket is only about 0.5 USD. You may take also a taxi. In that case do not agree with the first price suggested by a taxi driver. Discuss a price in rubles, not in dollars. If you will be patient, you may agree on the price of not more than 20 USD. (3) By subway it is very easy to arrive to the railway station "Savjolovskij" (Metro-station "Savjolovskaja", see the map) and take an electric train to Dubna. There are two types of such trains: fast (2 h, nonstop: 9-47, 15-57, 21-31), and normal (2 h 40 min: 5-04, 7-07, 10-30, 14-47, 17-03, 18-52, 20-24, 23-15). There are also buses to Dubna which depart from the station square. (4) Upon your arrival to the Dubna station, go along the street which is perpendicular to the railway without turning. In 10 minutes you will reach hotel "Dubna" which is situated on the bank of Volga. |
