Beam quality: The 8He beam was prodused by a projectile fragmentation reaction of an 18O beam with an energy of 100MeV/nucleon bombardiring a 13-mm-thick Be target. 8He particles were then separated by the RIKEN Projectile-fragment Separator (RIPS). The energy of the 8He beam was 71.0 +- 1.4 MeV/nucleon at the center of the secondary target Target: As a secondary target, the solid polarized proton target was placed at the final focal plane of the RIPS. The target was operated under a low magnetic field of 91 mT, which allowed them to detect low-energy (about 10 MeV) recoil under inverse kinematics condition. The average target polarization was 11.3 +- 2.6% Data obtained: author graph (digitized with GSYS 2.4)The measurement were done at RIKEN Nishina Center and Center for Nuclear Study, University of Tokyo.
