Beam quality: no data
Target: Typical thickness's were 25-60 μg/cm2 and the backings were 20 to 40 μg/cm2
Data obtained: author graph (digitized with GSYS 2.4)
A 14C beam was obtained from a sputtering ion source and accelerated to 51 MeV in the Los Alamos tandem electrostatic accelerator. The targets were made by vacuum evaporation of the enriched metal on to carbon backings. The carbon backing was turned downstream, and acted as a charge-state equilibrator for the scattered 14C ions.
