Beam quality: Maximum 8Li rate of 106 s-1.
Target: A 1.8 mg/cm2 target of isotopically separated 208Pb having a purity of > 99%.
Data obtained: author graph (digitized with GSYS 2.4)
The 8Li beam was produced by the TwinSol radioactive nuclear beam facility at the University of Notre Dame. The primary beam was 7Li at an energy of 38 MeV, incident on a gas target. Primary beam currents of up to 500 pnA were available.
