Beam quality: The average intensity of the 8He secondary beam was about 4 103 pps.
Target: The target was a helium gas cell of a thickness and diameter of 10 and 20 mm, respectively.
Data obtained: author data
The secondary beam of 8He was obtained via the bombardment of a beryllium target of a thickness of 255 mg/cm2 by a 32 MeV/n primary beam of 11B provided by the JINR U-400M cyclotron.

Being cooled down to 35 K by a crygenerator target contained 2.4 1021 helium toms per cm2 at a gas pressure of 11 atm. The target entrance and exit windows were 20 mcm stainless steel foils.
