Beam quality: Using technique yielded 50 to 200 nA of extracted current, resulting in 10 to 50 nA energy-analyzed Target: 12C tagert: natural carbon foils, 50 to 200 mkg/cm2 Data obtained: author's graph digitizedThe experiments were performed with the University of Michigan 83 inch sectorocused cyclotron. The beam was produced in an arc-type ion source by the sputtering action of a C02 plasma discharge on enriched lithium-6 fluoride melted on a tantalum sleeve placed in the ion source. The energy resolution, dE, in the solid state detector was typically 50 to 200 keV while for the spectrometer system dE was 20 to 100 keY. The angular resolution, dTheta, was 0.2o to 2o.
