Beam quality: Typical intensities of 100-200 enA Target: The targets consisted of 100 μg/cm2 of calcium fluoride (CaF2) evaporated onto 30 μg/cm2 carbon foils. Data obtained: author graph (digitized with GSYS 2.4)The experiments were performed using a 34 MeV beam of 6Li(3+) ions produced by the Oxford folded tandem Van de Graaff accelerator. The Oxford MDM-2 magnetic spectrometer and its associated gas-filled focal plane detector (FPD) were used to momentum-analyse and detect the 6Li ions.
